New Mobility Consulting is a boutique consulting firm focused on innovation management to help corporations, startups and investors take advantage of opportunities and mitigate risks. We bring a fresh perspective that helps you understand emerging competition and shape desirable futures.
Following successful careers in the tech sector as executives and intrapreneurs, we took the plunge and started our own company. Based on our experiences with technology shifts and business transformation at CA Technologies, SAP, Microsoft and Infor we realized early on that the automotive sector was ill-prepared for the future ahead.
In 2014 we helped coin the term "New Mobility" and described the disruptive forces that shape the future of mobility and transportation - "Connected", "Autonomous", "Mobility Services" and "Electric Mobility". Back then mobility was considered unattractive, not to say boring, for the investor community.
Today this digital transformation creates new winners and losers.

The digital transformation of mobility and transportation will disrupt existing value chains, not only in the automotive sector. We take a holistic view of emerging ecosystems, which include energy and utilities, insurance companies, telcos, smart cities, smart buildings, and others.

We think of emerging business ecosystems as a "Human-Centric System-of-Systems in view of the convergence of mobility and transportation with the energy, telecommunications and smart city infrastructure.
We believe that these complex, adaptive systems are inherently decentralized and require a new technology fabric to create secure connectivity, to establish trust in data and to enable a new era of symbiotic collaboration and process automation. Humans are in control. Machines exist to serve humans in the era of Human-Centric Systems-of-Systems.

We strongly believe that innovation happens everywhere. We have invested heavily to develop a global, cross-industry ecosystem of innovation leaders, entrepreneurs, incubators and accelerators, venture builders, academia and investors.
We have built up a global network and deep relationships in the innovation ecosystem across the Silicon Valley, Chicago, Seattle, Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart and Tel Aviv. We count some of the world's leading innovators amongst our friends. Our network includes serial entrepreneurs, corporate innovation leaders and spans hundreds of startups, technology companies, incubators / accelerators (TechStars, 1871, M-Hub, Plug and Play, StartupAutobahn etc etc), academia (Northwestern University, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Technical University of Munich (TUM), Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (LMU), etc. etc.) and the investor community (angels and VCs). We helped create a successful New Mobility acceleration program and mentor and advise startups.
